Blessing of the Animals

We will hold a simple service of the Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis’ Feast day at Capitol Square near the Bell Tower. Please bring your well-behaved pets (or a picture!), a lawn chair/blanket, and cat/dog food donations (cans or bags) to this intergenerational, interspecies service. Together, we will give thanks to God our Creator, bless God’s creatures, and pray for healing of God’s good creation. All pet food donations will go to Richmond Animal League (ral.org). Contact Rev.
