Environmental Stewardship Ministry Field Trip to Powhatan State Park

Join Tom Smith for an informative and relaxing hike in this 1,565 acre state park located just to our west in Powhatan County.  The park lies adjacent to the James River and provides great hiking, water access and camping opportunities in our own back yard.  We will explore the rare White Oak – Red Oak – Mockernut Hickory Forest that makes up much of the park and if time allows visit the river canoe/kayak launch area. Meet at the St. Paul’s parking deck and carpool to the park. Limit 15 people. Register by November 7 with Tom Smith.
