Special Worship Ceremonies

Baptism is the sacrament symbolizing our identity as children of God. It is a celebration of God’s unconditional love and embrace when we are “marked as Christ’s own forever.” It is most appropriate for baptism to happen in the context of Sunday worship, as the community of faith commits to helping to raise the newly baptized in his or her life of faith. It also is an opportunity for members of the Church to reaffirm their own baptismal promises.

The Book of Common Prayer designates certain days in the liturgical year to be particularly appropriate for the celebration of Holy Baptism, and these are the days that St.Paul’s offers the sacrament. • All Saints Sunday (November 1, 2026)
• Easter Vigil (March 27, 2027)
• Feast of Pentecost (May 16, 2027)
• The Feast of the Baptism of our Lord (January 10, 2027)
